Drenthe - September 2020
Somewhat locked down in the Netherlands because of Covid, we spent a week in the Nort-Eastern province of Drenthe. Great landscape photo ops (the Drenths claim that they first found that the earth is round - and the above pic would seem to confirm that). We enjoyed the warm weather with photogenic early morning fog, insects covered in dewdrops posing for their macro portraits, treefrogs enjoying the afternoon sun,  and birds bathing. The ancient Hunebeds (burial sites, some thousands of years old), are always a special atraction in Drenthe (see below) and we made a 360 pano (click the pic). We had a great week and expect to go back to Drenthe for walking, biking and photography - and the wonderful food.
